The optional Custom Engraved plate is laser engraved using museum quality imitation brass plastic with black engraving. This material solves the tarnishing and discoloration over time that is such a problem with real brass. There is room for a plate that can be as large as 6" wide by 1.75" high. Our graphic artist will arrange your text and optional photograph so that all of the information is presented in the most favorable manner possible. The case is so large and massive, that it doesn’t make sense to ship it from the manufacturer to us just so that we can apply the engraved plate. Instead, in order to save you money, the case is shipped directly to you from the manufacturer and we send you the engraved plate separately. This saves you from having to pay “double” shipping charges. The plate comes with a permanent adhesive applied so that you can just “peel and stick” to easily apply it to the case.
