Don't confuse these bracelets with some cheap import or other cheaply made bracelets -- especially the rubber or plastic bracelets that are so popular these days.  These memorial bracelets are entirely made in the USA -- including the aluminum.  And unlike the other hero bracelets, these hero bracelets include a picture of the fallen hero.

The aluminum is first stamped out using a 45 ton stamping press (similar to the way car body parts are stamped out).  This gives a much cleaner, smoother and precise edge than "slash cutting" the metal with a shear as most companies do. 

The metal is then put into an acid bath which totally eliminates any remaining rough spots insuring a totally smooth piece which will not irritate your arm. 

Next, the bracelet is given its color by a process known as anodization which is a chemical process that actually changes the color of the metal.  And by anodizing the bracelets after they are stamped out they are colored on all surfaces -- front, back, and edges.  Most companies anodize large sheets and then "slash cut" the parts out which results in non-colored edges -- and in some cases only one side of the bracelet being colored. 

The bracelet is then engraved using a state of the art laser.  Both the color and engraving are part of the metal and will not wear off like a printed bracelet.  The only way to wear off the engraving and color on these bracelets is to remove the surface of the bracelet!

Finally, the bracelet is sent to the bending station where it is formed into shape.  A special bender is used because of the thickness of the metal but you can easily adjust them to fit almost all adult wrists(both men and women) after you receive your bracelet.
